Also, because of the shape of the outsole, you are much less likely to role your ankle in the trail runners.
I went to barefoot shoes and world of a difference, Hykes Flex are my new favorite shoe. I will never go back to regular shoes.
Trail shoes can be used for road running as well but road shoes can never be used for trail
