The pack layout and design makes a huge difference. I can stuff more in my smaller pack than the larger one I have with more compartments. Nice to see Kamp Kitty – the supervisor.
I can’t even fit my sleeping bag in my 50L lol
Not even talking about the tent and all of the other stuff
Me and my dumb ass can’t seem to fit a one-nighter setup into a 75 liter backpack properly, and here you go taking a similar set and cramming a 25 liter grocery bag so it all legally fits lol
50L hits the sweet spot for me for mild weather. 65L for winter or long water hauls.
Camped with family when a kid. Backpacked and have owned several backpacks…just found da bomb…Gregory Jade 50 and most comfortable pack I have owned….Love the design with a side zipper access and no bottom zippered compartment bc when in Europe the Gypsy kids will unzip your bags….cannot see the side zip…so love that security feature…
I find 50 litres is the right size, as I am older and do not want to carry too much now….affects the knees and back. Also found a vintage Thermarest chair frame…..love it.
Great comparison video….you can always carry less in a larger pack.
