  1. As an outdoor retailer (these are my opinions, not those of my company), that was perhaps one of the best YouTuber takes on this issue. It varies greatly for all sorts of reasons. I’m a big guy, so I wear stiffer boots because if I go down that’s a problem for anyone I’m with. Others do well with trail runners. And I’ve sent the most dad-est of dad shoes (like if you know which shoe I’m talking about, lol) all over the world to great success.

  2. Why not choose low cut hiking shoes with gore-tex for most (day) hikes? Like Merrell Moab 3 GTX / Salomon X Ultra 5. Also it last longer and does fine on rocky and technical trails and bad weather/snow. Or are trail running shoes replacing this shoe segment (low-cut hiking shoes)? What’s your opinion on that?

  3. I personally think High cut hiking boots are better. Make sense for me to protect my Ankles as those had save me a few times from potential sprains.

  4. I ordered hike shoes and boots, they said they have a 30 day money-back guarantee, but when I asked for the address to send them back because they were tight and didn’t fit properly they ignored my emails and I even tried sending a message through there companies contact us and received nothing in response to getting a return address or even a refund it’s like they blocked me from there emails. If this is how they treat their customers I would advise not to order from them!
