Rod #3. My favorite freshwater fishing! Walleye on a ML is a 10/10. Hog blue gills on a Ultra light. Might be the best way to introduce someone to fishing.

I have been fishing for over 60 years and I can tell you, for the average fishing person, you need 2 rod and reel setups at most. First you need to identify the species you are fishing for, ask the locals of their size, and go from there. Avoid the fishing money pit as it’s easy to fall in to as you are being overwhelmed by YouTube creators. That’s my advice. Almost forgot, there is nothing you can’t do with a spinning setup that supposedly requires a baitcaster. Just practice with your spin setup.
